Project: Jackson Hole Trout

Recently, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Jackson Hole native Lucas Donaldson on the thrilling launch of his new guiding business, Jackson Hole Trout.

The process began with getting to know Lucas and what was most important to him as he brought his vision to life. He cares deeply about excellent environmental stewardship, and is highly focused on providing an informative and unforgettable experience to each of his clients.

It was also critical to highlight Lucas’ inimitable knowledge of the fishing opportunities around Jackson Hole. We enjoyed getting to know more about his lifelong background of fishing with family and friends, and the incredible expertise he has developed during his two decades as a fishing guide. And of course, we had to make sure that his magnetic personality and genuinely kind character shone through!

We also carefully considered his target audience, and what his clients might be seeking when booking a fly fishing excursion in Jackson Hole. We discussed how to best anticipate the questions that his customers might have, and how to relay critical information in a concise and yet engaging manner.

Another very memorable day with long-time clients and friends Brian and Allison. Allison is a natural flyfisherwoman.She's fished a ton, but this was her first full day of fly fishing. She picked it up very quickly and in no time was laying nice casts out there. We found a spot where at least 3 nice fish were coming up, eating bugs on the surface. We could all see them very clearly, sometimes they were just under the surface. They weren't pushovers. It took several fly changes and getting a perfect drift, but she got this beautiful rainbow on a small dry fly!! She's hooked!! Thanks again guys!
